![]() ![]() It was heartbreaking to hear such a beloved novel butchered in this fashion. The narrator constantly mispronounced words, which I could've let slide, but it was incredibly distracting that in a book about jewel thieves, she could never manage to say "jewelry" correctly. Her accents were atrocious, which is shameful for a story that spans multiple countries with a heroine who is supposed to be fluent in several languages and able to imitate any accent. When she wasn't monotone (which was for the majority of the book) she added inflections in all the wrong places. It seemed as though the narrator phoned in her performance and hadn't bothered to even look at the book before reading it aloud. What didn’t you like about Nancy La Scala’s performance? Sheldon always kept you guessing and entertained up to the last page. It was fun trying to figure out how they would outsmart the police-and each other-or get away with seemingly impossible heists. I loved the cons and scams run by both Tracy Whitney and Jeff Stevens. It's been a favorite of mine since childhood I've read the book several times and also love the miniseries. ![]() As a book, it ranks among the highest on my list of favorite novels. Where does If Tomorrow Comes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?Īs an audiobook, it would be in the bottom of rankings due to the horrible narrator. Top Notch Novel, Great Author, Awful Narrator ![]()
